Garfield 2: A Tale of 2 Kitties

My daughter LOVES the first Garfield so I thought Id introduce the 2nd one to her (mainly because Im getting worn out on the first one, I know every word to the movie and feel its time to have a new challenge of learning every word to the 2nd one). My daughter has watched it a few times now. Its a cute movie. I found myself actually sitting down watching it while she was off in her room playing. I dont think it shows much of Garfield, as if he isnt really the main focus of this movie. I also know that this is intended for an older audience than of just 16 months also. I think there is too much going on for her to really follow and enjoy it (which in the first one it was done with only Garfield and Odie being the main animals which my daughter and I like). Overall, I would rate this a 4 out of 5 for my enjoyment more so than my daughters. I think that as she gets older she will also enjoy it more and more though

giraffe chair

I made a trip to Walmart and saw a giraffe chair for children...SUPER CUTE! (Im a giraffe fanatic) and thought it would be super cute for my daughter! (She loved it also), but it was 30$ and too much if you ask me...because I am completely broke! But I went to Walmart today (the day after Christmas) and saw that same giraffe chair for only 14.90! STEAL OF A DEAL! I definitely recommend this for any little child, or giraffe fanatic :D

I am pretty big into reviewing a product before I buy it, but I saw this camera and bought it on a whim. It looked really neat..and AFTER the purchase I reviewed it, and luckily, it came back with good things. I like this camera. Its a 16.1 mp 5x optical zoom, touch screen that flips up so you can get pics from different angles, or when you arent able to see over a crowd the screen allows you to still be able to take a good pic, because you are able to see what you are capturing.
The one thing I noticed with the camera is the focus takes a little bit, so it takes a few seconds after the button is pressed to actually snap the pic...I dont think it works in the favor of trying to capture children because they move WAY too fast lol (at least this is how my daughter is).
The design is beautiful, and the color (black) is awesome! The screen is large and works like an android screen...just slide the pages over and you are taken to the next set of icons to choose from. There are quite a few options for this camera (compared to any other digital camera Ive seen, it has to be the most), there are things such as funny face, pic in pic, frames, different settings...and the works.

All in all, I think that I would rate this camera a 4.5 as of now. I havent had much play time with it yet, but as I get to handle it more, I may update this post in the future...who knows...we will see

salon express

Since I dont have much of a life, I watch quite a bit of tv. As I was watching one day, a commercial came on for something called Salon Express...I was in awe as I was watching this commercial! What it is is 5 metal discs of engraved designs, a rubber stamper, and a scraper...the object of this item is to get the engraved design onto your nail with the stamper and when you are finished, its supposed to look as if you just came from the salon(hence the name 'salon' express)...and of course there are those few semi-unimportant steps in the middle.
I was excited for the purchase, checked the mail everyday, and finally it came! I tried it out that night (after my daughter was in bed so that I could have some quiet mommy time, and this is how I decided to spend it). I got set up, got my nail polish, nail polish remover, the whole shabang...i got it all out. I sat down and started to do one of the designs...well I attempted and failed...I thought maybe it didnt get engraved deep enough so I tried a different design on a different disc...same outcome. What I had failed to remember was that there was a blue (how I missed this I dont know?!) plastic protector over the disc so that there werent scratches upon the receiving of the item! The man on the phone when I called and ordered even warned me NOT to forget that!!! It was very important because people were calling and complaining that their salon express wasnt what they had thought (only to find out it was due to their own stupidity...and almost to mine as I was about to make an angry phone call)...anyways, so after peeling off the blue protector, I proceeded to attempt again..this time I had (semi) gotten the hang of things. I was beginning to get the design on my nails, but they werent turning out 100% correctly...this is due to (either/or) the (small side) of the stamper being too large for my nails still, or my nails being too small for the small side of the stamper.
Its kind of a bummer deal because I do like the product, it is nice, and it does look nice when I can get the stamper in the correct spot so that most of the design is on my nail and not my skin...Overall, I think that I would recommend this to others. It would make a nice gift to a young teen/even an adult. Just keep in mind that if you have small/slim nails such as I do, it may not be the best product for you. I think it is more sized for the sizing of fake nails. Im not into the fake nails...and I cant do a thing to widen my nails...but maybe I can find a smaller stamper...thatd be nice.
If I were to rate this product on a scale of 1-5 (5 being amazing) id rate it a 3.5...
